Nuclear Fission Reaction :-

This reaction is typically triggered by the absorption of a neutron by the nucleus.When the neutron collides with the nucleus, it causes it to become unstable, and it begins to split apart. The energy released during the reaction is used to generate electricity in nuclear power plants. At the same time, the reaction also produces additional neutrons, which can trigger other fission reactions. This process is known as a nuclear chain reaction.



The heat generated by the nuclear reaction is used to produce steam, which is used to turn a turbine. Advantages and disadvantages:-

Additionally, nuclear power plants can generate electricity around the clock, providing a reliable source of energy.

While these accidents are rare, they can have devastating consequences, as witnessed in the Chernobyl and Fukushima disasters. Additionally, the waste produced by nuclear power plants is highly radioactive and must be carefully managed and stored to prevent contamination.
